Oriental Massage

This modality comprises a number of techniques such as cupping, acupressure, moxibution and gua sha.

Moxibustion
A herb is burnt over the body to put heat and energy back into the body. This technique is used when a person may get a chill in the body.


Cupping Therapy
This is a process where cups are placed on the skin and the air is removed, causing the skin to be pulled into the cup. Cupping can help to remove toxins, cold, heat and dampness from the body allowing the chi to flow better thus creating better health.


Acupressure
Using pressure from a finger, elbow or any rounded surface on the acupressure points of the body, acupressure can help with energy blockage and it strengthen the bodies' chi.


Gua Sha(spooning)
Gua Sha is a healing technique when the skin is scraped with a metal or plastic object. Historically, a Chinese soap spoon was commonly used and the term spoon was adopted. Gua Sha's purpose is to remove heat from the body and is used to treat injuries, heat stock, or when a person feels sickly hot.


Breast Chi Balancing Treatment
This treatment is in 3 parts, the 1st is to balance the meridians chi associated with the breast with cupping, 2nd is to balance the breast chi with reflexology, and 3rd is a combination of manual lymphatic massage and normal breast massaged, this promotes circulation and the elimination of waste. This Treatment will help with tender and sore breast, mastitis, lumpy breast tissue, lactation and general breast health.
